At Winter X 14, Brown became the first skier to win two gold medals at the same WX (Big Air and Slopestyle). During WX14, he also was the first skier to throw and land the switch double misty 1260 and 1440, earning perfect scores. In March, Brown earned silver at the inaugural WX Games Europe. While three fractured vertebras in late March slowed him, Brown bounced back and was skiing again in May. Brown confirmed his status as 2010's best slopestyle skier by finishing 1st in the AFP year-end rankings He also earned his first ESPY nomination for Best Male Actions Sports Athlete (Shaun White won).
