In April 2012, the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival will celebrate 7 years of fashion, form and function by asking – “What will you be wearing for the end of the world?”
It’s time to face the music. At some point, maybe soon, the world is going to come to an end. Whether it’s an asteroid catastrophe, a zombie pandemic or a world-wide spiritual transformation the lights are going to go out on the civilized world as we know it. The Mayans were convinced that December 21st 2012 will be the big date, scoff if you like, but what if they’re right? – What will you wear for the apocalypse? When your fashion life flashes before your eyes, just before the asteroid hits, will you celebrate your choices or seek redemption?
Inspired by the chaos of society, and mythical hype towards the end of days, Fashion EXPOSED – Armageddon, the West Coast’s most energy-infused and original fashion show, will answer all these questions and more by showcasing the best Summer 2012 and Fall/Winter 2012/13 Collections from across the street/action/lifestyle fashion industry. – Possibly the final collections of humanity!
Fashion EXPOSED is a high-impact entertainment spectacle brought to life in the perfect venue, Whistler, BC - during the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival. Staged in a fully transformed Whistler Conference Centre enhanced with state of the art audio, visual & lighting, FASHION EXPOSED is one of the most anticipated components of Canada’s premiere lifestyle event.The Fashion EXPOSED runway features some of the edgiest, fashion-marries-function brands available, and is the collaborative story of Whistler’s style scene both on and off the hill. Produced in association with leaders and fresh designers of the street/action/lifestyle fashion industry, Fashion EXPOSED is a professional, tightly choreographed assault on the senses, and one that is guaranteed to make a major statement.
New for 2012! Freeze Dance Showcase joins forces with Fashion EXPOSED!
Not going down without a fight, the Freeze Dance Showcase crews are here to throwdown their moves and elevate the energy levels at Fashion Exposed. Competing for $1000 and showing the world what they're made of, the crews are here to amaze and impress, and will bring the streets to the snow whilst they do so.
