Pro Photo Finalists Announced

Who will be the next action sports photographer to join the all-star alumni of previous winners of "Best in Show" at the Pro Photographer Showdown?

The 2010 Finalists, invited to present curated 9 minute digital slide-shows in Whistler on Thursday April 22, will be competing for the title of Best in Show and a $10,000 grand prize. Each finalist takes away $1500 in cash.

The 2010 Finalists are Brian Bielmann, Yves Garneau, Grant Gunderson, Jeremy Koreski , Mason Mashon, and Erik Seo.

Dubbed the “Sundance Festival of Action Photography”, the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival’s Pro Photographer Showdown is a visual feast and the preeminent action sports photography event in the world.

12th – 2009 Best in Show: Jordan Manley

(Finalists: Scott Pommier, Ian Ruhter, Christian Pondella, Daniel Blom)

11th -  2008: Best in Show: Kari Medig

(Finalists: Dan Carr, Blake Jorgenson, Jancsi Hadik, Frode Sandbech)

10th – 2007 Best in Show : Jody Morris

(Finalists: Pete Taras, Endre Lovaas, Nick Hamilton, Jeff Curtes)
 

9th – 2006 Best in Show: Kevin Zacher

(Finalists: Blake Jorgenson, Corey Rich, Scott Pommier, Jeremy Koreski)

2005 Best of the Best show, part of 10th anniversary celebration of the fest, brought back the first winners as an invitational showcase featuring Jason Childs (Best of Show 2004), Jon Humphries (Best of Show 2003), Dave Heath (Best of Show 2002), Blake Jorgenson (Best of Show 2001), J. Grant Brittain (Best of Show 2000), Aaron Chang  (Best of Show 1999) and Eric Berger ( Best of Show 1998).
